Breaking News

Most of downtown Columbia was shutdown late this morning into the early afternoon as police from Columbia, Wesst Hempfield Township and Lancastercity serched for a suspect in a house in the first block of North Fifth Street.

The Lancaster County Special Emergency Response team was called to the scene.

The wanted person was not in the house.

Downtown Columbia was shutdown for more than three hours.

Obama visits

Demoratic Presidential Nominee Barack Obama, who was in York and Lancaster today, stopped by the Columbia Market House around 4 o'clock this afternoon.

We will post more on Obama's visit, which came as a surprise to all those at the market.
